Scope: This document sets the minimum specifications for prepackaged basmati rice (Oryza sativa L) suitable for human consumption for the varieties mentioned in Annex A.
This document is applicable to milled, milled parboiled, husked and unpolished (brown) and brown parboiled basmati rice.
It does not apply to any other product derived from basmati rice.
