Scope:
This Standard establishes basic requirements for sustainable crop production, focusing on Good Agricultural Practices for food safety, traceability, environmental stewardship and farmer/worker welfare.
This Standard applies to open field and protected cultivation as well as to hydroponics, horticulture and flowers.
This Standard will be used for inspection and certification purposes of the crop production process from production to farmgate.
This Standard excludes genetically modified organisms. Plants grown in nurseries are excluded.
