Scope:
This document specifies the requirements and methods of test for alcohol-based hand sanitizers. The hand sanitizer can be in the form of gel or liquid.
Alcohol-based hand sanitizers typically contain alcohol in the form of ethanol and/or isopropanol.
The standard is not applicable to non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
