Mauritius Standards Bureau

The Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB) is a corporate body which has been set up under the Mauritius Standards Bureau Act 2022. The Bureau is responsible for standardization, quality assurance, testing and metrology. MSB operates a certification marking scheme for products and a national management system certification scheme (MS ISO 9001, MS ISO 14001, MS ISO/IEC 27001, MS ISO 22000, HACCP- MS 133).
MSB is also the custodian of the national measurement standards and offers calibration services. It is the National Enquiry point for WTO/TBT matters.

MSB is a member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an affiliate member of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and a member of the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO).

 


Standards Information Centre


The Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB) provides a free referral service for information on standards and standards-related publications through its Standards Information Centre (SIC).

MSB operates the National Management Systems Certification Scheme under section 22 of the Mauritius Standards Bureau Act 1993 (Amendment Act 2022) and the Mauritius Standards Bureau (National Management Systems Certification Scheme) Regulations 2008 (Amendments 2009 & 2017).
